Dr. Luis S. Garcia, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist, founder of Sentir Psychotherapy, and Senior Consultant with Advocates for Human Potential, with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, justice-involved systems, and community-based services. 

His career has focused on strengthening accountability, promoting dignity, and expanding access to care for historically impacted communities, particularly justice-involved populations with complex behavioral health needs. He also serves on the boards of nonprofit organizations focused on homeless services and the arts. Dr. Garcia brings a deep commitment to public engagement, cross-system collaboration, and transparent, community-centered oversight, informed by his lived experience in Los Angeles County and State of California carceral settings. 

He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University, a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s degree in theology from Loyola Marymount University.
